Our Story

FOUR POINT PUZZLES IS A CANADIAN JIGSAW PUZZLE COMPANY WITH A FOCUS ON CONTEMPORARY ART AND DESIGN.

Based in Dundas, Ontario, Four Point Puzzles is an independent jigsaw puzzle company with a focus on contemporary art and design. Our small team is led by founder and Dundas native, Lindsay Stead whose background in furniture and textile design as well as a love of contemporary art built the foundation for our brand. Lindsay has been a jigsaw puzzle enthusiast since a young age, so launching this company was the perfect way to combine her passions and her experiences into something she could create and share with others.

We launched Four Point Puzzles in July of 2019 with just one title, our Moon puzzle that celebrated the 50th anniversary of the lunar landing. Our Moon puzzle is the original 1000-piece circular planetary puzzle and continues to be popular around the globe. From Greenland to Peru, Bahrain to Malaysia, we have shipped our Moon puzzles to over 70 countries worldwide. Our customer’s enthusiasm for this puzzle as well as Lindsay’s fascination with the solar system, inspired us to create more planetary puzzles including The Earth, Mars and our incredible 8-puzzle solar system set.

We have also continued to expand our line to showcase work by contemporary artists from around the world. From the delicate pen and ink illustrations by Japan-based Sanae Sugimoto to the thoughtful, graphic sensibility of Canadian artist Micah Lexier, all of our artist collaborations are chosen to reflect the varied styles and mediums of contemporary art. One of the most fascinating aspects of putting together a puzzle is that the process allows you to become very familiar with the imagery. When a puzzle depicts a piece of art, you are able to study the work with an incredible level of detail and find new ways of appreciating it.

After a brief pause in operations in 2023, we are gearing up to relaunch in August 2024. In addition to our online store, you can find our puzzles at hundreds of incredible art galleries, museums and independent retailers around the world such as the National Gallery of Canada, the Institute of Contemporary Art, The Conran Shop and the SFMOMA.

As we look towards the coming months and years, we are excited to expand our collection, and to continue to offer unique puzzles that are always well made and thoughtfully designed.
